Interior Styling

When you walk into your home, you may not see each individual décor piece, or the layout of furniture as it builds the atmosphere of the living room. Rather, you see the entire home as one whole picture. Hiring a professional interior stylist will help take your space to the next level. With home décor items like art, furniture, and accent pieces are all a part of creating a look that matches the atmosphere of your home.

Kanso interior takes the time to learn what our clients like and love. We want to understand your ideal style and the atmosphere you are trying to create in the space. Whether you are are looking to decorate your new custom home, or refreshing an existing room, an office space or a boutique shop; Kanso will work through to understand your vision and bring it to life.

Initial Consultation

The initial consultation is a critical step in the design and style process so Kanso can capture the essence of the space and the vision from the client. Whether Kanso is continuing our working relationship by taking a newly constructed house to the next phase by adding style and personality through furniture and décor; or, if you are looking to refresh and update an existing space. Kanso will meet on site to discuss your wish list, style direction and mood you are trying to achieve. During this phase a budget will also be discussed.

At this 2-hour consultation session, an inventory of key and existing items will be noted so they can be incorporated into the interior design. Photo documentation and measurements will also be done on all key spaces and items.

Styling Contract

Once the decision to move forward is confirmed, a contract will be provided outlining the areas of the home that will receive styling with the use of new and existing furniture and décor. Kanso will also include a pricing package and a furniture inventory based on the budget for new furniture, art, décor, rugs, window treatments, and custom soft goods needed to style each designated area. A timeline and styling fee will be provided as well.

Once the contract is signed and a deposit is received, Kanso will start work on the next phase where the elements of the interior space start to take shape.

Vision Board & Layouts

The vision board and layout phase is where the creative and visuals elements are put on paper. Kanso will draw out the space and indicate furniture layouts and placement; as well as a vision board outlining the style direction with images of furniture, décor, fabrics, color swatches that will be used  to guide product sourcing and to confirm the vision of the space has been correctly captured.

Sourcing

With confirmation that the vision board and style are approved, sourcing of furniture and décor begins. The sourcing process can be a timely process; however, all items will be quoted and provide to you before any orders are placed. Once the quotes have been reviewed and approved by you, the orders are processed and deliveries are reserved.

Set-Up

The set-up phase is the most exciting. This is when an expert eye is at its finest. With deliveries of furniture arriving and all décor is unpackaged the precision placement of décor and furniture is determined, window treatments installed, wallpaper and artwork hung, bedding and soft goods placed. Once everything is in place, it is time to sit back and relax and enjoy your new home.
