Holiday Styling
Kanso Interior Design's owner, Tracy Birnie, knows a thing or two about creating a beautiful space. One of her favorite projects is to decorate her own home for the holidays. Now she is offering to decorate yours. Why? Because life is busy and stressful and don't have the time to decorate for the holidays. Whether you are catering Christmas dinner or just want your home to be decorated for the holiday season for your family, Kanso is here for you.
Kanso follows a simple process for holiday decorating projects. The following outlines the process and the deliverables you can expect. Remember, every project and client is unique. Kanso will work with you to develop the vision for your holiday decor. We want to work with you to create a wonderful holiday atmosphere that will leave a lasting impression.
Initial Consultation
This 1-2 hour session will be done at the home where we can walk through and determine the key areas to feature for the holidays such as fireplace, stairwell, dining room and main tree location. we will also discuss the vision and theme you would like created.
Kanso will take a photo documentation of the key areas for reference as well as photos of existing holiday décor that will be incorporated into the holiday styling vision. The budget for all new décor pieces will be determined.
Note: All primary Christmas trees are to be provided by client.
Holiday Contract
Kanso will provide a contract outlining the key spaces and areas to be styled. A budget guideline will also be given for additional holiday décor needed to create your perfect holiday vision.
During this phase, Kanso will also outline a timeframe of installation and confirmation of set up dates. Once the holiday contract is approved, signed and the deposit is received, Kanso will move to the next phase.
Vision Board
Kanso will build a vision board for your holiday vision. The board will capture the style, mood, color story, and textures used to create the holiday theme discussed in the initial consultation.
Sourcing & Set-Up
Once all the holiday décor and fresh evergreens have been purchased, it is time to create the holiday vision. Set-up day is when the true essence of Christmas comes alive. With the finessing of the tree, the placement of the holiday décor, the fragrance from the evergreens and the candles are all in place, its time to sit back and enjoy the holidays.
Take Down
Now that the holidays have come and gone it is time to safely pack up the holiday décor for another year. Additional storage bins will be purchased by Kanso and everything will be neatly and labelled according to content. A proper and organized take down process is important to create a seamless transition for next year.
